Opus are a British company that create innovative, ‘whole house’ entertainment systems.

When designing The Vos Pad Marcel Jean Vos was particularly attracted to the Opus system as a sleek and stylish solution that eliminated the presence of wires and bulky boxes from live/work areas.

With the Opus controller system it is possible to enjoy up to six hi-fi sources, independently, or simultaneously, anywhere in one’s home. In every room where the system is installed, Opus’ keypads and sleek remote handsets give total control of one’s entire CD collection and access to a choice of radio stations etc.

Opus technology means no obtrusive wires and ugly black boxes. Instead the technology is hidden away, controlled by stylish wall mounted keypads that remotely send the signal to discrete in-ceiling speakers.

OPUS links home entertainment equipment via a discretely situated Master Control Unit (MCU) to any number of zones around the home.
These are individually accessed and controlled using Wall Control Units and System Remote Controls.

To connect these components together a specially developed balanced transmission cable is used, which, unlike most multi room systems, requires only a single run of cable to carry audio, data and power to and from each zone.
